Our Process

Discovery Call

The SEO Audit begins with a kickoff call to better understand your business, target audience, goals and SEO experience. It is important that we learn more about your business model so we can establish the right key performance indicators (KPIs) so we can track your progress. Here we will also explain our procedures and what you can expect from us in the next few weeks.

Website Review

Following the Discovery Call, we begin with the site review. Our SEO audit is comprised of 4 core segments — Keyword Audit, Content Audit, Technical SEO Audit, and Link Audit.

Keywords are the foundation of your website, so it is where we begin our review. Here we analyze how you currently rank, opportunities and do an in-depth analysis of your competitor’s rankings and strategies.

Once we have completed the Keyword Audit, we do a Content Audit. We review the structure and key elements of each page in relation to the keywords targeted. We include an in-depth analysis of your home page. The homepage is usually the most visited page on a website. It is critical that your navigation and any call-to-actions are very clear.

Next, we do a Technical SEO Audit. We start by analyzing things such as internal linking, site speed, mobile optimization, and traffic flow. These elements greatly affect what pages rank and how well they rank. For example, if your internal linking structure is not optimized then it can significantly affect any link building efforts. Link equity flows from page-to-page and must be optimized so search engines can value a page’s importance accurately.

We wrap it up with a Link Audit. External links are one of the most important ranking factors today. They signal to search engines the relevance and authority of the content on your website. We review your links for quality and look for future opportunities.

Weekly Updates

During your SEO Audit, you will receive updates and recommendations. Our audits are very comprehensive and can be overwhelming when presented in one lump presentation. Some elements are more important and easy to fix. We break down what needs to be done immediately and what can wait.

Final Assessment

Once your SEO Audit is complete, you will receive a detailed spreadsheet that includes the severity of the issue and how to fix it. The spreadsheet is presented during a phone call since it is very detailed and can be overwhelming for individuals with limited SEO experience.
